Required for all Doctoral Students. Effective teaching in social work education requires an understanding of the components of curriculum building and professional practice skills required by the Council on Social Work Education. Based on a strong theoretical base in the principles of adult learning, this course is designed to introduce the student to the theory and methods of professional social work education with a concentrated focus on course design and classroom execution.
