The purpose of this course is to provide Portico Teaching Assistants a greater depth of understanding of the philosophical issues covered in Portico, and to offer an introduction to the core pedagogical techniques involved in teaching applied ethics. Participating TAs will study the course material on a second-order level by considering the evolution of their understanding of the course material over their undergraduate career, and by exploring pedagogical best-practices to improve teaching outcomes.
