This course enables the student to enhance competency in caring for patients undergoing surgery and anesthesia. Each student develops an individualized plan of anesthesia care based on patient assessment and surgical requirements for both routine and complex cases in consultation with experienced clinicians. Clinical experiences are based on the standards set forth by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs.
