This course explores the functional and experimental application of typography for visual communication across a variety of scales, contexts, and media. Students will expand on principles of 2D design while gaining fundamental skills in the application of typography through Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. Additional topics include principles of composition, typographic grid, pacing, structure and meaning, publication design, craft, and print production.
