This course is designed to prepare students for the first semester of General Chemistry. The course will consist of two major parts, the first of which will focus on the mathematical skills and problem solving that are fundamental to the deeper understanding of chemical concepts. The second part of the course will focus on the application of problem-solving techniques with basic chemical concepts such as atomic structure and isotopes, balancing chemical equations, and stoichiometry.
